Prayer wheel, a cylindrical wheel on a spindle made of metal; wood; stone; leather or coarse cotton, is one of Buddhist beliefs in many countries such as Nepal, Tibet, part of China, some of Japan and some of Thailand.
Normally, the very sacred mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" is inscribed on the outside of the wheel. Spinning the wheel will have much the same meritorious effect as orally reciting the prayers.
